I only speak English. Can I still participate?

Yes! Many of our events are in English. At the same time, we have members who are learning English and would love the opportunity to practice with you. ChouChou Connect is built on the idea of sharing languages and cultures, so English speakers are both learners and valuable conversation partners.

I'm over 50. Will I find people my age?

We don't offer age-specific events, but we warmly encourage people over 50 to join. Language learning and cultural exchange are for everyone, regardless of age, and many of our members enjoy connecting across generations.

I'm new in town and want to meet people. Is this right for me?

Absolutely. ChouChou Connect is a great way to meet others while exploring your area. Whether you're joining a coffee-and-chat, a cultural outing, or a walk in the park, our events make it easy to form new connections.

Do you host virtual events too?

While most of our events are in person to encourage real-world interaction, we do occasionally offer virtual meetups, especially for special interests or members who want to stay connected from a distance.

What languages can I practice?

We currently offer opportunities to practice English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German. Activities vary by language and level, from informal chats to more guided discussions.

I want to meet others who speak my native language. Is that possible?

Yes! Many members join to reconnect with people who share their language and cultural background. We offer gatherings that bring native speakers together in a welcoming, relaxed setting.

How can I organize an event?

You can suggest an event in two ways:

1) Use the Contact form to submit your idea.

2) If you're a member, simply go to your dashboard and click "Create an Event." Your event will be reviewed by our team before being published to ChouChou members.

Why is the membership so affordable?

Our mission is to make language learning and cultural exchange accessible to everyone. We keep our fees low to prioritize connection over profit, and as a bonus, all memberships are free until August 31, 2025.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your membership renewal at any time before your next billing date. It’s easy to manage through your account settings.

I'm a beginner in the language I'm learning. Is this a good fit for me?

Yes! For beginners and lower-intermediate learners, we encourage a mix of English and the target language during events. ChouChou Connect is designed to help you build on the foundation you already have, by practicing in relaxed, real-world settings that support natural progress and meaningful connection.
